What Your Termite Renewal Covers

A termite renewal is your yearly termite inspection plus the payment that keeps your warranty active. Our professional checks your home for live termites and new activity, and for the conditions that invite termites and other wood-destroying organisms, such as moisture, wood touching soil and fungus. If everything looks good, your coverage continues for another year. If something needs attention, we show you what we found and explain what happens next. Your renewal also covers additional inspections. If you ever suspect termites, call us and we’ll come out to inspect, and when we inspect your home after a major weather event, that’s covered too.

Retreatment Guarantee

If termites or termite activity ever show up while your coverage is active, we retreat your home at no additional cost, using the same brand-name premium products we used on your initial intensive treatment.

Repair Warranty

Homes that qualify also have coverage for new damage. If new termites cause new damage while your warranty is active, it covers up to $1 million in repairs, along with retreatment at no additional cost.

What We Check Every Year

Your renewal inspection is a full inspection, not a quick walk around the house. We look for new signs of termites and termite activity, and for moisture problems and other conditions that invite termites and wood-destroying organisms. Every year we:
  • Check for termite activity: live termites, mud tubes, swarmer wings and damaged wood
  • Take moisture readings: throughout the entire crawl space, to catch damp areas that draw termites
  • Probe the wood: floor joists and sill plates are checked for softness or decay
  • Date the visit: we mark the inspection date, the inspector’s initials and U.S. Pest on the floor joists, so your home has a record of every inspection

Which Coverage Does My Home Qualify For?

Every home is different, so the level of coverage depends on what we find. We consider the age of the home, how much termite activity we found at treatment, the type of construction, any existing damage and moisture conditions. Your Pest Pro will explain which coverage your home qualifies for before you sign. Learn more about our termite treatment.

Your Warranty Transfers When Your Home Does

If you sell your home, or it passes to family through an estate, your U.S. Pest termite warranty transfers to the new owners at no additional cost. Many of our customers and their realtors highlight it when selling, because buyers get a home with protection already in place. Planning to sell? Ask about a free pre-listing termite inspection.

How Your Renewal Works

  1. Before your anniversary month: reminders start arriving in the mail, so your renewal never sneaks up on you.
  2. During your anniversary month: we schedule your annual inspection and follow up by email and phone.
  3. Inspection day: a state-certified professional inspects inside and out, takes moisture readings, probes the wood and tells you what was found.
  4. After the inspection: reminders continue until your renewal is paid, for six mailed reminders in all, plus emails and phone calls.
  5. If termites turn up: we retreat at no additional cost, and homes with a repair warranty are covered for new damage.
  6. Once you renew: your coverage continues for another full year.

Why Keeping Your Renewal Current Matters

  • Termites don’t take years off: colonies live in the soil around Middle Tennessee homes and can return long after a treatment.
  • Damage stays hidden: termites can work inside walls and floors for a long time before anyone notices.
  • Insurance usually won’t help: most homeowner’s policies don’t cover termite damage, which makes an active warranty that much more valuable.
  • A lapse ends your protection: if a renewal goes unpaid, the warranty expires and the home is no longer protected under U.S. Pest termite protection until coverage is reinstated.

Termite Renewal Pricing

  • Control guarantee (retreatment): from $198 a year
  • Repair warranty: from $249 a year
  • What sets your price: the size of your home and the type of guarantee

Renewal prices rarely go up, though we may make a small increase from time to time. Your Pest Pro will explain your renewal price before you sign your termite agreement.

Switching From Another Termite Company?

Moving your termite coverage to U.S. Pest is an easy switch. We start with an inspection of your home, then explain which coverage your home qualifies for and what it costs. Our termite treatment is a liquid barrier bonded to the soil, and we’ll never sell you something you don’t need.

Ready to switch, or have a question? Call 615-590-1260 and we’ll set up your inspection. For a deeper look at what we watch for, see our guide to wood-destroying insects in Tennessee.

Termite Renewal FAQs

What is a termite renewal?

It’s your yearly termite inspection and the renewal payment that keeps your retreatment guarantee or repair warranty active. It’s due every year on your treatment anniversary.

How much does a termite renewal cost?

Control guarantee (retreatment) renewals start at $198 a year, and repair warranty renewals start at $249 a year. Your price depends on the size of your home and the type of guarantee.

How will I know when my renewal is due?

We send six mailed reminders before, during and after your inspection month, along with email reminders and phone calls.

What does the annual termite inspection check?

A state-certified professional inspects your home for termites and signs of activity, plus conditions that attract termites and other wood-destroying organisms, such as moisture. We take moisture readings throughout the crawl space, probe floor joists and sill plates for softness or decay, and mark the inspection date on the joists for your home’s records.

Are extra termite inspections included with my renewal?

Yes. Your renewal covers additional inspections when you request one, such as when you suspect termite activity, and inspections we do after major weather events.

What is the difference between a retreatment guarantee and a repair warranty?

A retreatment guarantee means we retreat at no additional cost if termites return. A repair warranty also covers repairs to new damage caused by new termites.

How much does the repair warranty cover?

Up to $1 million in repairs for new damage caused by new termites while your warranty is active.

Why doesn’t every home qualify for a repair warranty?

Coverage depends on the age of the home, the level of termite activity at treatment, the type of construction, existing damage and moisture conditions.

What happens if I miss my renewal?

If a renewal goes unpaid, the warranty expires and your home is no longer protected under U.S. Pest termite protection.

Can I reinstate my termite coverage?

Often, yes. Call us, and we’ll inspect your home. Coverage can be reinstated as long as previous renewal amounts are paid and nothing has changed, including termite activity.

Will my renewal price go up?

Renewal prices rarely go up. We may make a small increase from time to time.

Does my termite warranty transfer if I sell my home?

Yes. Whether the home is sold or passed down through an estate, the warranty transfers to the new owners at no additional cost.

Can I switch my termite coverage from another company?

Yes. It’s an easy switch. We inspect your home first, then explain your coverage options and price.

Do you use termite bait stations?

No. Our termite treatment is a liquid barrier bonded to the soil, backed by an annual inspection.
