Juliet borders two: Percy Priest Lake’s coves and inlets to the south, and Old Hickory Lake’s quieter coves and the Cedar Creek Marina area to the north, with Cedar Creek itself running through the middle of the city. That gives mosquitoes more still, shaded breeding water within city limits than a single-lake town sees, and homes near either shoreline feel it most. Subterranean termites swarm in spring (typically March through May) and work silently below grade, so a home that’s never had a renewed inspection in 20-plus years is often the most at-risk, not the newest one on the block.
