U.S. Pest Control – Nashville’s March in Music City

Ready for some March madness in Music City? If you have yet to experience the exciting events happening around Nashville, some of the U.S. Pest employees are here to offer suggestions by sharing their favorite March events. U.S. Pest is passionate about serving their local community and has been providing pest control in Nashville for over 30 years. The U.S. Pest’s team enthusiasm for experiencing local events has allowed them to uncoved some gems that may have gone unnoticed. Here are some of their favorites!

March 5 | Murder Mystery Show

Does A Pest Get Murdered? Steve Nevins is an experienced inspector with U.S. Pest. What does a Nashville pest control professional like doing in his spare time when he’s not protecting the city? Well… protecting the city! (sort of). Steve’s favorite March event in Nashville is the “Will To Deceive, Mystery Dinner Show” presented by the Mel O’Drama Theater. Diners will experience an exciting night of exceptional food, drinks, and laughter while they work to solve a suspenseful murder mystery.

March 6 | Southern Word Grand Slam Semifinal 

Do you love spoken word? Then you cannot miss out on this exciting March event hosted at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts! James McCasland is a Professional Inspector at U.S. Pest who loves supporting the local arts around Nashville. Stop by the Frist on March 6th to watch the regions top youth poets, emcees, and spoken word artists compete for top lyrical honors. Southern Word provides a platform where the city’s youth can speak about their real hopes and challenges in their lives.

March 7 | Spring Craft Show 

Heather Collins is a long-time employee of U.S. Pest and serves as the Executive Assistant to The President. Heather enjoys frequenting local events, and that’s why she loves being able to keep the city “unbugged” by providing Nashville with pest control services. What’s Heather’s favorite event? The Spring Craft Show hosted by Williamson County Parks and Recreation! This event has free admission and features over 50 vendors who will be selling handmade gifts, furniture, décor, baby items, spring and Easter items, and much more! Don’t miss the chance to buy local and support Nashville businesses.

March 7 | National BBQ Association BBQ Bash 

You aren’t officially “Southern” until you’ve experienced good southern BBQ. There are two things Terry Bagsby is passionate about: providing pest control in Nashville & southern BBQ. It makes sense that his favorite event is the annual National BBQ Association’s BBQ Bash. This event will feature demonstrations, outdoor exhibits and vendors, a Steak Cookoff Association competition, a Kansas City Barbecue Society- sanctioned barbeque competition, and a people’s choice sauce sampling competition. So, basically, if you love BBQ—do not miss this.

March 12 | We Will Rock You: The Music of Queen 

Nashville didn’t get the title Music City for nothing! Blake Richardson is a General Manager at U.S. Pest and enjoys getting out to hear local music. As a lover of classic rock, one of Blake’s March picks is the “We Will Rock You: The Music of Queen” event presented by the Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra. Guest artist Jeans ‘n Classics will join the talented orchestra to bring some Queen classics to Middle Tennessee.

March 15 | Vienna Boys Choir 

Hubert Mason is another Professional Termite Protector at U.S. Pest who loves supporting local art and music. Hubert is dedicated to providing Nashville pest control services so his city stays clean, safe, and pest-free! One of his favorite local events is the Vienna Boys Choir hosted by the Nashville Symphony at the Schermerhom Symphony Center. This historical choir was formed over 500 years ago and features pieces from Austrian waltzes, to classical masterpieces, to contemporary pop songs. If you are a music-lover, this event has it all.

March 21 | Nashville Free to Breathe 5k Run/Walk 

Get out and get active with Don Lewis of U.S. Pest! Don is a Pest Professional who stays fit by running the city and providing Nashville with pest control services. His pick for the month of March is the Nashville Free to Breathe 5k Run/Walk presented by Free to Breathe at Shelby Bottoms Park. This is a great event for anyone looking to get active, and it supports a great cause. All funds for this event are used to raise awareness and fund vital research programs dedicated to doubling lung cancer survival by 2022. This 5k Run/Walk includes both a 3.1-mile course & a 1-mile course—so it is the perfect fit for dedicated runners/walkers and beginners alike.

March 28 | 2nd Annual “Science Spectacular” Fundraiser for East Nashville Non-Profits 

Caught the science bug? —Science lovers rejoice! Rob Boyd of U.S. Pest is a self- proclaimed science fanatic and that is why his March pick is the 2nd Annual “Science Spectacular” Fundraiser for East Nashville Non-Profits presented by Mr. Bond and The Science Guys and the Salvation Army. These free science shows hosted by Mr. Bond and the Science Guys will feature a variety of exciting experiments that attendees will also get the chance to participate in. The March event will be help at 10AM at The Salvation Army at 611 Stockell St., Nashville, TN 372107.

March 21-April 11 | Small Business Symposium 

Tom Dixon is a General Manager at U.S. Pest that has over 24 years experience. During his time working with U.S. Pest and providing Nashville pest control services throughout the city—Tom has learned the ins-and-outs of running a business. Tom’s March pick is one for business owners and entrepreneurs who desire to learn about branding, customer service, leadership, finances, and more! The Small Business Symposium is a four-week series presented by Nashville Community Education at the Nashville Public Library – Southeast Branch. Come bring a pen and paper and obtain the tools to run a successful business.
