Pre-Construction Termite Treatment for Builders

Pre-Construction Termite Treatment for Middle Tennessee Builders

A concrete pour won’t wait for a pest control company, and you shouldn’t have to either. U.S. Pest Protection pre-treats new construction across Middle Tennessee, with early-morning and weekend service as standard, same-day service when your schedule shifts, and pre-treat certificates within 24 hours. Call our commercial office at 615-757-6710 to get on the schedule.

The Truck Behind the Schedule

When we added our 500-gallon pre-treat truck to the fleet 10 years ago, it was the largest pre-treat truck in Tennessee, and it’s still on the job today. Every U.S. Pest truck is equipped for pre-treatments, too, so we can cover jobs in every county we serve.

Soil Treatment Before the Slab

Before the slab is poured, we treat the soil with a termiticide chosen to meet your job’s specifications. Tennessee rules require new-construction pretreatments to be completed within 90 days after backfill, unless the product label says otherwise, and we schedule around your pour so you stay well inside that window.

Borate Protection During Framing

During framing, we can apply Bora-Care, a borate wood treatment that protects against termites, other wood-destroying insects, and decay fungi, or Bora-Care with Mold-Care, which adds mold protection. Both are made right here in Tennessee by Nisus, and we can handle soil and borate treatments on the same build.

What Builders Tell Us They’re Tired Of

Builders come to us after the same headaches with other pre-treat companies:
  • Missed appointments that push back a pour
  • Slow response when the schedule changes
  • Paperwork that drags for days after the job
  • Crews that can’t start early before the concrete truck arrives

How We Keep Your Build on Schedule

  • Early starts and weekends are standard: we’re there before the pour, not after it.
  • Same-day when you need it: 48 hours’ notice is ideal, but if your schedule moves, we’ll make it work.
  • Every truck can pre-treat: so we can cover jobs in every county we serve.
  • Paperwork within 24 hours: your pre-treat certificate arrives the day after treatment, not the week after.

Who We Work With

Production builders, custom builders, commercial contractors, and homeowners building their own homes all rely on us for pre-treats. Whether it’s one custom home or a whole phase of a subdivision, you get the same early start and the same 24-hour paperwork. See all of our commercial pest control services.

Certificates for You, Protection for the Homeowner

Builders receive a pre-treat certificate within 24 hours of treatment, ready for your files and inspections. Every pre-treat comes with a one-year termite warranty, and when the home sells, the new homeowner receives a warranty transfer letter, so that protection follows the house. Homeowners who want ongoing coverage can learn about our termite protection.

Where We Fit in Your Build

  1. Before the slab: we pre-treat the soil, scheduled around your pour. Forty-eight hours’ notice is ideal, and same-day is possible.
  2. If it rains: most rain isn’t heavy enough to stop a treatment. When it is, we finish the job as soon as it lets up.
  3. Dried-in framing: Bora-Care or Bora-Care with Mold-Care, applied to the framing.
  4. Paperwork: your pre-treat certificate within 24 hours, plus the HUD-NPMA-99-B New Construction Subterranean Termite Service Record when a HUD-insured home calls for it.
  5. At closing: the one-year termite warranty transfers to the buyer with a warranty transfer letter.
  6. After year one: homeowners can keep their protection going with a U.S. Pest termite agreement.

Built Around How You Build

  • Production builders: one point of contact for every lot and combined billing, so a whole phase runs as smoothly as a single home.
  • Custom builders: scheduling that flexes with your timeline, and soil and borate treatments from one company.
  • Commercial contractors: early starts and documentation that keep inspections and handoffs on track.
  • Homeowners building their own home: we explain what’s needed and when, and handle the paperwork for your files and your future buyers.

Pre-Treat Pricing

Pre-treats are priced per job, based on square footage and the treatments your build needs. Send us the plans or square footage and we’ll get you a price quickly.
