Well, if you see what appear to be large, black flying ants swarming in or around your home, you probably have termites. Sometimes, though, they’re not quite so obvious. Occasionally they’ll leave wings behind after an active swarm but keep an eye open for straw-sized shelter tubes made from mud and look for holes in wood, crumbling drywall, or sagging doors or floor. Unfortunately, however, termites can eat away at your home for years undetected.
