Vampire Bugs?! Beware Of Blood Sucking Pests

 In Blog

We live in a world full of blood sucking pests.

MOSQUITOES drink between 0.0001 and 0.01 ml of blood at a time. You might be surprised to find out that these little pests are the deadliest animals on earth, spreading diseases like Malaria, West Nile Virus and Chikungunya to large segments of the population. In face, mosquitoes alone are responsible for the deaths of more than 1 million people every year!

BED BUGS can consume 7 times their body weight in blood. Bed bugs usually feed for 5 to 10 minutes before they are finished with their victim.

TICKS need blood to complete their lifecycle, which consists of four stages: egg, larva, nymph and adult. They carry Lyme Disease that can affect a person within 7 days after the initial bite. Ticks contain an anesthetic compound in their saliva, making it difficult for a host to tell they’ve been bitten.

There’s no way to completely prevent bites from bloodsucking pests, but you can take steps to keep from becoming their next snack.
